Hey guys!

I'm really sorry there's no proper update this week. I'm still sick. :(

No, it's not the plague as Fae has claimed. But I need to take the time to fully heal and repair my body, and that requires a lot more rest than I'm used to giving myself (and drawing a comic page is really a lot of hard work!). I'll do my best to feel well enough next Friday to get a real page out, but for now, have another blast from Mitch's past!

Around the time Fae and I came up with the initial concept for the comic, I was heavily interested in puppetry and even seriously considered becoming a professional puppeteer. I was also not feeling very confident about my artistic skills (not hard to see why). So one of my early ideas for the series was that it would actually be an episodic, live action series where all of the characters were puppets. As such, I decided to start to draft sketches of the characters in puppet form. I only got as far as Hybbyt before Fae and I realized that making our own puppet show would be way too logistically and financially taxing (and I don't think the two of us could have performed and voiced five characters, let alone extras). So Mitch stayed as a webcomic...and frankly, I'm glad it did. I have performance anxiety.

Also: Fae is in China until December! I still haven't heard from her since before her flight, so it's safe to say she still hasn't figured out the Internet yet, and is probably also extremely busy. She was prepared for this, though, and gave me three pages' worth of Mitch scripts. So, health permitting, you'll get regular Mitch updates for the next three weeks. What happens next if I still don't hear from her? Well...I've got a super top secret project in the works that I've been reserving for circumstances like these. You should find it pretty amusing.

"Some sort of magery medallion". Oh, misao. You do make me laugh. XD

This story as a puppet show is certainly an interesting concept. Hehe. :P

@Xephinetsa: Haha, thanks.

I still think a Mitch puppet show would be amazing, but I just haven't the skill. Or the time. Or the money. Or the ability to get enough skilled people involved.

So, instead, webcomic which only requires two people, $50 software, and a free hosting service! Huzzah!
